Dr. Philip Miner was born near the North Shore of Boston and migrated quickly to Texas. He was raised primarily in the Houston area and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1977. In 1981 he earned degrees with Honors in Chemistry and Biology from Texas Christian University. To this day Dr. Miner is a diehard Horned Frog Fan.
Dental training was accomplished at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, at the time the top ranked dental school in the nation. Dr. Miner graduated in 1985 earning Omicron Kappa Upsilon honors, which are bestowed upon the top ranked students academically and voted on by the faculty. While in practice he has served as clinical faculty at UTHSCSA and participated in countless hours of continuing education. He has practiced dentistry in San Antonio for over 25 years.
Dr. Miner has two children, Lindsey and Colin and resides in San Antonio with his wife Robin. They share their home with golden retrievers, Murphy and Lola. His interests include sailing, golf, music and travel. Dr. Miner is a huge sports fan and loves following the Spurs and Astros.
